MCP Tools Not Yet Available
MCP tools are not yet exposed on the v2 endpoint (assistant.knowify.com/api/v2/mcp). The examples below show what will be possible once tools are added. For now, MCP resources (schema discovery, guides) are available.
These examples show realistic prompts you can use with Claude once connected to the Knowify MCP server. Each example includes the prompt, which tools Claude calls, and what the output looks like.
Example 1: Discover Resources and List Projects
Prompt:

Tool: query

sort_asc: false

Tool: get
resource: "clients"

sort_asc: false
page_size: 25

Tips for Best Results
- Start with
list_resourcesto discover what's available and which operations each resource supports. - Use field projection (the
fieldsparameter) to keep responses focused. Full resource objects can be large. - Use search (
qparameter) for text-based lookups instead of browsing through pages of results. - Be specific about what you want — Claude will choose the right tool and parameters.
- Combine operations — you can ask Claude to query, analyze, and modify resources in a single conversation turn.
